In short

TEMPUS does not create accounts, does not collect personal information, and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking. The only data that leaves your device is what is needed to show the local temperature.

Location

If you allow it, TEMPUS asks for your approximate location (coarse accuracy, only while the app is open) to show the temperature and weather icon on the dial. Your coordinates are kept in the app's memory only; they are not written to storage, not linked to you, and not shared with us. If you refuse, or if the location is unavailable, the temperature row is simply hidden.

Services contacted

• Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com): receives the approximate latitude and longitude, rounded to about 1 km, and returns the temperature and a weather code. It is refreshed about every 15 minutes while the app is open. See open-meteo.com/en/terms. Weather data by Open-Meteo.com, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
• IP geolocation, only when GPS location is denied or does not answer within a few seconds: TEMPUS asks, one after the other until one answers, ipwho.is, get.geojs.io and ipapi.co. These services see your IP address, as any web request does, and return an approximate position.
• Store: the in-app shop is a web view that opens alhomaidhigroup.com. Everything you do on that site is governed by that website's own privacy policy, not this one. Only https pages load in the web view.

Stored on your device

Only your choice of temperature unit (°C or °F) is saved locally. No identifiers, no advertising ID, no contacts, photos or files are read.

Children

TEMPUS collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
